Fatma Ahmed is presently serving as the Specialist at UNDP’s Africa Facility to Support Inclusive Transitions. With more than a decade of experience in international development, she has demonstrated expertise in governance, peace, security, and climate security, while working with the African Union and Regional Economic Communities (RECs). Fatma previously held the position of Deputy Chief of Party, playing a pivotal role in establishing the IGAD Center of Excellence in Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism across the Horn and East Africa region. She is a holder of a Master’s degree in Human Rights and Democratisation.
