Prof Pius Yanda is the Director of the Institute of Resource Assessment at the University of Dar Es Salaam. He is a Professor in Physical Geography and has 24 years of experience in climate-related studies in the region as well as in Tanzania. Between 2005 and 2007, he was one of the international experts in the panel that made a scientific review of the state of art on climate change in the globe. He was one of the Lead Authors for Chapter 9 (Africa Chapter) of the Working Group II of the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report (AR4).
