Omnia Musa is a former intern at ACCORD. She is currently studying at the School of Social Sciences at Tsinghua University, majoring in International Development and Political Science. She has a passion for music and philosophy, and is a teaching assistant for the Western Ancient Political Philosophy course, as well as the Modernization and Globalization Studies course at Tsinghua.
She is also actively involved in public service. Last year, she helped to plan and implement a safety education program for China’s left-behind children.
Beyond that, Omnia is also very passionate about women’s rights causes. She joined a feminist group at Tsinghua and has held several events. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career in women, peace and security and become a voice for women and the underprivileged. Through research and projects, she hopes to give a voice to who cannot, and to secure the rights that individuals would otherwise have. She is curious about everything and hopeful about human society, believing that if each person sends out a little light, it will be a slowly rising sun on the horizon.
