Nyasha Bunjira was an Intern within the Knowledge Production Department (KPD) of ACCORD. Her duties involved supporting the designing, implementation and monitoring of the Department’s research. Having joined ACCORD as an intern within the Peacekeeping Unit in August 2015, Nyasha supported the implementation of the Unit’s objectives.
Nyasha holds a Master of Social Science Degree in Conflict Transformation and Peace Studies (Cum Laude), a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours Degree) in Conflict Transformation and Peace Studies (Cum Laude) as well as a Bachelor of Social Science (Cum Laude) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Prior to joining ACCORD, Nyasha was an Intern at the United Nations Action for Cooperation against Trafficking in Persons (UN-ACT) in Bangkok. Her research interests include gender in conflict, conflict resolution, governance and human security, economic development issues in Africa, migration, smuggling and human trafficking.
