Ambassador Maman S. Sidikou, from Niger, is currently the Executive Secretary of the G5 Sahel, the group of five countries of Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali, Mauritania and Niger.
Sidikou served as the Niger’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Integration. He also served as the Special Representative of the Commission Chairperson (SRCC) for Somalia and Head of the AU Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) and the Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) for the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Head of the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO).
Ambassador Sidikou holds a PhD from the Florida State University in the USA.
