As the Programme Officer in ACCORD’s Peacekeeping Unit, Lamii assisted in the daily implementation of the Training for Peace in Africa Programme. This task exercised his flair in the areas of policy development, capacity building and research. An ideal candidate for the job, his passion was supporting efforts that brought prosperity and peace to Africa. Lamii’s expertise stemmed from his position as a logistics coordinator in post-war Sierra Leone and Liberia (2002-2007) for a relief and construction company. Lamii is originally from Robertsport, Liberia. His early student days were spent just outside of Washington D.C. where he obtained his BA in Government and Politics. Lamii then moved to South Africa where he completed a Masters in International Relations focusing on African Peace Support Operations and Humanitarian Intervention at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.
