Dr Jean Pierre Misago is a researcher with the African Centre for Migration and Society (ACMS) at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. His research interests include migration, identity and belonging; xenophobia and violent outsider exclusion; humanitarianism; and governance of migration and human mobility.
