Professor Gabriel Kabanda is a Distinguished Full Professor of Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity and Machine Learning, and the International Senior Technical Advisor. Gabriel is the former Pro Vice Chancellor (Research, Innovation and Enterprise Development) of the Zimbabwe Open University where he spent 13 years in the Senior Management position. He is the Most Notable and Top Distinguished Professor – UNESCO/International Chartered World Learned Society; Adjunct Professor of Machine Learning at Woxsen University, Hyderabad, India; Adjunct Professor of Cybersecurity at California State University, Chico (USA) & Professor of Applied Business Informatics at the University of Zimbabwe Business School since 2000; and Professor of Big Data Science at NUST, Zimbabwe. Prof Kabanda is the Fellow of the African Scientific Institute (USA); Fellow & Secretary General of the Zimbabwe Academy of Sciences (ZAS); Secretary General of the Africa-Asia Dialogue Network; Member Board of Trustees of Crown University Intl. Chartered Inc.; Editor of the Journal for Signal and Information Processing (USA) & Editor of the STEM International Journal; Vice Chairman of the Advisory Board of IT Governance & Cybersecurity Institute (ITGCSI) (New York); member of the African Scientific Research and Innovation Counci (ASRIC) of the African Union; an International External Examiner of various Universities; and an Advisor on ICT and STEM education to the Global STEM Leadership Alliance (GSLA), California. He holds a Post-Doctorate of Science, Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from Atlantic International University (USA), a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science (California, PWU, USA), Master of Science in Computer Science (Swansea University, UK), and B.Sc. in Mathematics and Physics (University of Zimbabwe). His international awards include “Most Notable and Top Distinguished Professor of the 21st Century” from the International Chartered World Learned Society” and Fellowship Award on 17th May, 2021; an international award on Outstanding Contributions to Education, the Golden Academic Excellence and Professional Achievement award in 2013 in Malaysia at the World Marketing Summit; and the world-wide honour of Who’s Who of Professionals in 1997.
