Dan Kuwali

Dr Dan Kuwali is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Human Rights, Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria; a Fellow of the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy, Harvard Kennedy School of Government; and an Associate Professor of international law at the Centre for Security Studies, Mzuzu University. He works for the Malawi Defence Force as Deputy Director of Legal Services. Some of his publications on the subject are a book entitled Responsibility to Protect: Implementation of Article 4(h) Intervention (The Hague, Martinus Nijhoff, 2010) and a monograph: Persuasive Prevention: Towards a Principle for Implementing Article 2(4) and R2P by the African Union (Uppsala: Nordic African Union, 2009).
