Asha Ali is a Junior Research Fellow in the Effectiveness of Peace Operations Network and African-Nordic Cooperation projects, in the Research group on Peace, Conflict and development.
Asha has a law degree from Queen Mary University of London and earned her master’s degree from Cardiff University in Social and Public Policy focusing on international development. She has experience from the British Institute of Human Rights and working on human rights law in the United Kingdom as well as research background from the Norwegian Council for Africa focusing on the inclusion of women traders in trade policy.
Her main research interests are the inclusion of women and young people in development, climate, peace and security processes.
