Anthea Garman is a Professor in the School of Journalism and Media Studies at Rhodes University in Makhanda, South Africa. She is the co-editor of Media and Citizenship: Between Marginalisation and Participation, and author of Antjie Krog and the Post-apartheid Public Sphere: Speaking Poetry to Power.
