On 01 December 2016 the Founder and Executive Director of ACCORD, Vasu Gounden, was invited by H.E. Ambassador Cooreman, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium, to a round table lunch meeting hosted at his residence. The topic for discussion was on Belgium’s socio-economic, cultural and political relations with the countries of Central Africa.
In late September 2016, Mr Gounden undertook a visit to Belgium where he met with Government representatives, as well as made a presentation on current and future conflict trends on the Continent, as well as ACCORD’s response, to the Africa Department of the European External Action services (EEAS) of the European Union.
