The Founder and Executive Director of ACCORD, Vasu Gounden, will conduct a training session at the South African Foreign Service Training Institute in Pretoria on 25 October 2006, as part of their Heads of Mission training.
The training forms part of preparing eight new high-level South African diplomats (including 1 High Commissioner; 3 Ambassadors; 1 Consul General and two Charge D’ Affaires) for their imminent postings to missions in Europe, the Middle East and the Caribbean. Mr Gounden will present sessions looking at Future and current conflict trends as well as negotiation skills. Mr Gounden has been presenting conflict management training to the Foreign Service Training Institute since 1995 and is involved in training diplomatic cadets as well as Heads of Missions.
