The Founder and Executive Director of ACCORD, Vasu Gounden, has been invited to participate in the South African Department of Foreign Affairs Training Institute’s seminar on “Modern Diplomatic Practice: Challenges of Curriculum Development & Teaching”.
This will take place in Pretoria from 14-15 March. The aim of the seminar will be: to reflect on the relevance of current International relations qualifications to diplomatic practice; to understand the challenges facing modern African diplomats; and, to explore ways of matching theory and practice.
Mr. Gounden has been presenting conflict management training to the South African Foreign Service Training Institute since 1995 and is involved in training diplomatic cadets as well as Heads of Missions.
