The Founder and Executive Director of ACCORD, Vasu Gounden, was a resource person at an international trade negotiation training which ACCORD conducted in partnership with the International Senior Lawyers Programme (ISLP) in Uganda between 26 – 29 January 2010.
This is the fourth such training that ACCORD has participated in as part of this partnership, with the previous three trainings being conducted in Botswana, Rwanda and Zambia. Delegates attending the training were drawn from senior and middle level trade officials in the government departments directly involved in developing and/or implementing trade policies and negotiation strategies. The training was implemented in partnership with the Ugandan Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Industry in order to enhance the international trade negotiating capacity of Uganda.
