Former Liberian Deputy Minister of Administration Visits ACCORD

Deputy Minister Sirleaf and representatives of the Liberian Peacebuilding Office visit ACCORD House in Durban.


On 27 July 2017, the Former Liberian Deputy Minister of Administration in Liberia, Hon. Varney Sirleaf, visited ACCORD House. While at ACCORD, the Minister presented a seminar to share the contributions the Government of Liberia, its’ Peacebuilding Office, local actors, neighbouring countries and organizations including ACCORD have contributed to the Peacebuilding Office. The seminar was attended by members of the diplomatic community, academics and members of the diaspora based in Durban.

Deputy Minister Sirleaf was accompanied by representatives of the Liberian Peacebuilding Office. ACCORD has worked closely with the Liberian Peacebuilding Office since 2009, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between ACCORD and the Government of Liberia in 2008.
