ACCORD signs MoU with Cairo Regional Centre for Training on Conflict Resolution and Peacekeeping in Africa (CCCPA)

On 17 February 2010 ACCORD signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Cairo Regional Centre for Training on Conflict Resolution and Peacekeeping in Africa (CCCPA) based in Egypt. The MoU provides a framework for cooperation in the fields of education, training and promoting capacity development for African peacekeepers.

The Training for Peace programme, funded by the Royal Norwegian Government, has run at ACCORD since 1995. In February 2010 ACCORD handed over The Presidency of the African Peace Support Trainers’ Association (APSTA), of which both ACCORD and CCCPA are members, to the International Peace Support Training Centre (IPSTC).
