For the eleventh consecutive year, ACCORD has been recognised by the Global Go To Think Tank Index, released on 28 January 2021, as one of the top-100 Think Tanks out of 11 175 think tanks globally, as follows:
- 21st in the category “Top Think Tanks Worldwide (non-US)” and highest ranked African institution. An improvement of seven places from 2019.
- 23rd in the category “Top Think Tanks Worldwide (US and non-US)” and highest ranked African institution. An improvement of twelve places from 2019.
- 1st in the category “Top Think Tanks in Sub-Saharan Africa”. An improvement of one place from 2019.
- 57th in the category “Top Social Policy Think Tanks”. This is the same as our 2019 ranking.
- 35th in the category “Best Use of Social Networks” and highest ranked African institution. An improvement of one place from 2019.
- 32nd in the category “Best Quality Assurance and Integrity Policies and Procedures”. This is the same as our 2019 ranking.
The 2020 Global Go To Think Tank Report is produced by the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) at the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
