Richard Kamidza, a Senior Researcher at ACCORD, has been invited to participate in the Regional Information Seminar on the Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs) Trade Negotiations processes between the European Commission (EC) and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) configuration.
The one-day event, which is being organized by the Directorate General for Trade of the European Commission, is scheduled for 20 June 2007, in Windhoek, Namibia.
The event brings participants from all over SADC, including civil society organizations, private sector and research institutions as well as the SADC Secretariat, to interact with DG Trade officials with the view to analyse emerging trends in the ongoing EPAs negotiations. Thus, participating at this seminar contributes to the goals of ACCORD’s training in trade negotiations, which is meant among other things, to enhance the capacity of African trade negotiators.
