On 12 November ACCORD held a briefing in Pretoria with representatives from the South African National Office for the Coordination of Peace Missions (NOCPM) and the Southern African Development Community Desk at the Department of Foreign Affairs, to present the work of ACCORD.
The particular focus was to discuss the work of the TfP Programme in support of the African Union African Standby Force (ASF) Civilian Dimension Project – and similar initiatives that ACCORD/TfP have started in support of the development of the Civilian Dimension of the SADC Standby Force and the Civilian Dimension of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Standby Force.
The Executive Director of ACCORD, Vasu Gounden and the Training for Peace (TfP) Programme Senior Programme Officer, Yvonne Kasumba, represented ACCORD.
