ACCORD hosted Minister Khayar Oumar Defallah, from the Republic of Chad, together with his delegation during a working visit to Durban on 28 and 29 March 2022. The visit took place in the context of ACCORD’s partnership with the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM).
This visit was used to update each other on the progress with the political transition in Chad as well as an overview of the current political situation. This visit provided resourceful information on the current political transition in Chad, which is of particular interest, as ACCORD and the APRM continue to focus on the issue of political transitions in Africa. The visit also gave ACCORD and the Minister the opportunity to explore areas of possible collaboration in the future.
The visit and the meeting paved the way for a strengthened the relationship with between ACCORD and the Government in Chad for further engagements that will follow.
