ACCORD CAR conducts three Day Capacity Building Workshop in Lobaye Province

From Tuesday 23 to 25 February 2021, ACCORD CAR Office conducted capacity building sessions with women and young female leaders from LOBAYE Province. The 3 day training workshop took place at MBAIKI, the District Headquarter of the Province located in South West at 110 km from Bangui.

The workshop was attended by 40 participants and was officially opened by the Governor of the Province accompanied by the Mayor of the District. The sessions focused on consolidation of peace and security, women empowerment, electoral code as well as legal and strategic framework of gender dimension in CAR amongst others. The three days culminated with the setting up of a network for women and young female leaders from the Province. A coordination bureau composing eight women was elected to keep the LOBAYE Women Network continuously working towards the consolidation of peace and women empowerment in the area.
