Occasional Papers

ACCORD’s Occasional Papers are intended to blend inter-disciplinary policy, practice and research on peace and security issues. The series is primarily an outlet for stakeholders in the conflict resolution, peacebuilding and development and governance sectors and a platform for sharing new and evolving knowledge.
Conference Reports and Proceedings

ACCORD’s Conference Papers are intended to share inter-disciplinary policy, practice and research on peace and security issues emerging from conferences and events either attended or held by ACCORD.
Monographs

The Africa Dialogue Monograph Series forms part of ACCORD’s work to inform peacemaking, peacekeeping and peacebuilding. They aim to provide succinct, rigorous and accessible research to stimulate informed and relevant debate to promote dialogue as a way to peacefully resolve conflict.
Policy & Practice Briefs

The Policy & Practice Brief series aims to provide succinct, rigorous and accessible recommendations to policy makers and practitioners and to stimulate informed and relevant debate to promote dialogue as a way to peacefully resolve conflict. Each issue draws on field research or the outcomes of thematic events, with analysis underpinned by rigorous research, academic theory and methods.
Conflict Trends

In October 1998, ACCORD launched the long-awaited Conflict Trends magazine. As its name suggests, the publication focuses on analysing and reporting on trends in current and emerging conflicts and their resolution on the African continent. Articles in the magazine aim to contribute to the body of knowledge on ‘what works’ through the sharing of information on specific interventions, case studies, good practices and recommendations.

African Journal on Conflict Resolution

In launching a new academic journal focusing on conflict transformation in Africa in 1999, ACCORD fulfilled a long-held ambition to contribute to the intellectual development of thinking, writing and dialogue in the field of conflict management on the African continent.
In keeping with international trends AJCR will now only be available as an online publication and is available as FreeAccess for downloading.
