On Friday 20 February 2015, ACCORD hosted Ms Maud Dlomo, Deputy Director General (DDG) for Training, Research and Development at the South African Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) for a visit to ACCORD House in Durban, South Africa.
During this visit, ACCORD staff presented overviews of their current projects as well as planned activities and areas for intervention for the upcoming year. In turn, Ms Dlomo provided insight into DIRCO’s strategic priorities for 2015, key international issues currently facing the South African government, and potential opportunities for collaboration between ACCORD and DIRCO within the specific area of peace and security on the African continent. Upon offering her vote of thanks for the visit Ms Dlomo commended ACCORD for the quality and breadth of its work.
