“The Inter-Congolese Dialogue is supposed to take place in Addis Ababa, starting 15 October 2001. However, this dialogue can only be successful if the main actors from the Kivu region, to which myself and my group belong, agree on several fundamental questions concerning the Great Lakes.

[…] If I have personally decided to contact you, it is only because your organization, ACCORD, manifested several times the interest for a resolution to conflicts in our region. Moreover, it has competences and experience in resolving conflicts in Africa. Concerning my group, we would like ACCORD to assume the role of moderator, like it usually does.”
