Coordinator: Knowledge Production Department
Sabrina Ensenbach joined ACCORD's Knowledge Production Department (KPD) in August 2010. In November 2011, she was appointed Coordinator of KPD, responsible for coordinating the implementation of all departmental initiatives and outputs.
Prior to joining ACCORD, Sabrina was a Research Assistant with the Central Africa Project of International Crisis Group (ICG) in Nairobi, Kenya. She also interned with the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). In her home country, Germany, Sabrina worked as a Research Assistant with the Centre for International Peace Operations (ZIF) in Berlin and interned with the East Africa and Horn of Africa Division of the German Federal Foreign Office.
Sabrina holds an MA in Peace Studies from the University of Bradford, United Kingdom. Using the former UN mission in the DRC (MONUC) as a case study, her Masters dissertation explored the notion of impartiality in contemporary UN peace operations doctrine and practice. Sabrina also has a BA in Social Sciences from Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany. Her areas of interest include the theory and practice of peace operations as well as conflict management and peacebuilding in the Great Lakes region.
