Invitation to the release of South African activist Wiseman Nkuhlu's autobiography.

In the evening of 24th March 2014 ACCORD will host the launch of Professor Wiseman Nkuhlu’s biography, entitled “A Life of Purpose”. The book follows Professor Nkuhlu’s memorable path from student activist, to Robben Island prisoner at 19, to becoming South Africa’s first black chartered accountant and founder of the country’s first black African chartered accountant firm. His further journey as influential academic, Chairperson of the NEPAD Steering Committee and Economic Advisor to former President Mbeki to his current roles as member of the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation Board and Chairperson of Pan African Capital Holdings followed. Professor Nkuhlu is one of ACCORD’s founding Trustees and still serves on the Board. It is an honour for ACCORD to co-host the Durban launch of the biography, together with the Association for the Advancement of Black Accountants of Southern Africa (ABASA) the Black Management Forum (BMF) and the publishers KMMR.
