on . Posted in Executive

On South African human Rights Day, 21 March 2009, Vasu Gounden attended the launch of the book “More Footprints that shaped our world” by South African author and activist Phyllis Naidoo. Former South African First Lady, Mrs Zanele Mbeki, was the guest speaker at the event.

The book is the third installment in Ms Naidoo’s footprints series, which retraces the legacies of mostly unknown grass-roots struggle heroes. The aim of the series is to help inspire current and future generations of South African’s to “explore the lives of the many people of integrity that fought Human rights abuse around the world”.

Mr. Gounden was honoured to have one of his poems printed as the part of the prolog of the book.
